Hi all,

I have a p4 2.8 478 CPU with a Zalman Heatsink/Fan (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=35-118-113&depa=0). I used to get temps from 37 idle to 49 fullload. Now with the Zalman I am getting 29 idle and 36 full load. This is on an Asus P4C800E-Deluxe Motherboard with 2x512 DDR400 Kingston Memory and a 550W power supply.
Can somebody with similiar setup give a OC noob some pointers on what settings to try to get a liilte more oomph out of my system?

One of the easiest ways for Asus would be to just use their AI Overclocking feature in the BIOS. In mine, you can set 10%, 20%, or 30% overclock. Obviously start at 10% if you want and work your way up. You can also overclock manually by setting the FSB and setting the overclock to manual. Standard setting here is 200 mhz so you could try to up it up little by little and see how that works.
