This really is weird. You rip a dvd with 20 more characters in label (to folder), remove FBI warnings, and annoying intros, then burn only with 16 characters in label. How can it be that filesystem DVD (UDF) supports only 16 characters but there do exist disks which have 32 characters, maybe they are ISO/UDF disks, why then Nero doesn't support more letters on these disks?

Well done ausguy, that was such a helpful post... NOT.
Nero has always had this weird limit. Being that it's set to 16, it falls in line with the limit of the joliet filesystem - even though that's not being used. The udf filesystem has space for a volume label of 126 chars (or 63 in unicode/multibyte mode - whatever you want to call it).
IIRC, the ISO filesystem can handle 32 chars in the volume label.
If it's something you really want to fix, you will need to build the image with Nero (rather than burning on the fly), then use another tool to correct the volume label - i.e. ImgBurn.
You can then use Nero to burn the image, or just stick with ImgBurn. ;)
