Video & Audio outta sync

Hi ppl,
I have this DVD movie ripped in my HDD since a month ago and I can't accomplish a Divx/Xvid conversion without the audio being completely desynced from the video. I'm using DVDx v2.3 to do the job. Tried several parameters in the video codec, and LAME mp3 audio (tried everything from 112k to 192k). Both encode at great quality, but completely outta sync!
Which is the "application-to-use" for converting DVD to Divx without this problems? Is there as straight app that just gets the job done?

Hi!

Not a direct answer to your question, rather a fix:

A) If the difference between audio and video is constant throughout the video:

Load the file into VirtualDub, VirtualDubMod, or NanDub.
Set BOTH "Video"(VirtualDub, VirtualDubMod and NanDub) and "Audio" (VirtualDub and NanDub - VirtualDubMOD>"Streams>"Stream list") to "Direct Stream Copy".
From the "Audio" dropdown menu, select "Interleaving" (For VirtualDubMOD, rightclick on the listed audiostream and then select "Interleaving")
Under "Audio skew correction", set an appropriate number of milleseconds (positive or negative) in the box labelled "Delay audio track by"
Save with a new filename

B) If the difference increases as the movie plays:

From under the "Video" dropdown menu, select "Framerate" - and select "Change so video and audio durations match"
Save with a new filename
