Media Player Classic read-ahead buffer size

Is it possible to change the size of the MPC read-ahead buffer? How? :thanks:

Does anyone know if there a reason that MPC uses buffers when opening a VOB file from a decrypted DVD, but doesn't appear to use them (no buffering when viewing statistics) when opening the DVD directly? Reason being that I have an annoying occasional audio hiccup when playing a DVD, which I am hoping will disappear if I buffer the video/audio stream from the DVD drive.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

According to the version history, there is a fixed default read-ahead buffer of 5 MB.
