I just replaced the DGindex files in my "regular" 028.1 SP2 Gordian Knot folder (as long as into the \AVISynth\plugins\ folder) only to produce an unreadable *.d2v file.

Gordian Knot "hangs" trying to open it.

Could someone please explain how to upgrade DGDecode in Regular Gordian Knot?

For my DVD compressions, old versions where enough for me, but I love following Tony Lennox's works, and I sometimes compress my DVB satellite captures.

just unpack the files into "C:\Program Files\GordianKnot\DGMPGDec" and it works.

No, it doesn't!
I did install (unzip) into GK's folder and GK did invoke dgIndex very well. But GK hangs while trying to open the resulting *.d2v produced.

*.d2v files created with older version are not compatible with the new version, the same thing happened when I installed the last version of GK Ripack 2 that includes DGindex v1.4.3.

When I say "resulting *d2v produced" it means I indeed created the *.d2v with the new version !

Search your entire hard disk(s) for instances of DGIndex.exe and DGDecode.dll. Delete all of them. Then install the matching versions as described above. Delete the existing D2V. That should work. If not, load the AVS created by GK directly into VirtualDub and report what error message you get.
