hey
iam using AutoGK 1.96 with its delivered codecs etc.
iam trying to compress something i recorded with my pinnacle pctv-sat.
no matter what i do, iam allways getting the following expeption and the program stops the decoding.
Iam not getting this message, if iam using DivX as Codec, but this isnt something i want.

sorry but that "tip" didnt really help me.

if you mean this:
6.7 I got exception "Open AVI filed" right after comp test.
- have a look here: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=76335 (short answer - you probably have to run /autogk/vdubmod/aviproxy/proxyoff.reg file)

btw there is a typo in the faq ... failed not filed

According to the logs comp test didn't complete and analysis step was ok, so most probably there is a codec error that requires reinstall...

to bad i tried that to ... i removed every codec i installed and also deinstalled agk.
i reinstalled it with its delivered xvidcodec but the problem didnt changed.
tomorrow (if time found) ill try it on another computer. maybe its something with the recordings.
