I am using dvd lab pro

I want to use a small video clip of some photo's being laid down on top of each other (if you have seen picasa's collage thing you will get an idea of what I mean) and then I want to use the last frame of this movie clip as the background for my first menu which will then contain embedded video.

I thought if i did the movie as first play in one vts and then linked the end of it to a menu in a second vts I would be going along the right lines although I would need to see what the gap was like between the movie and menu. Ideally there would not be one (perhaps I would need to use a transition).

However when I tried this and attempted to draw the link from the end of the movie to the menu, there are red crosses over the other items and it will not allow it.

I am quite new to dvd lab pro so if anyone could give me an idea of what I am doing wrong or a better way of achieving the effect i would be grateful.

What kind of project did you create? My best guess would be that you connect the end of the vts to the VMg (videomanager) and from there jump to the menu. I also know that dvdlab pro has certain elements to make special connections (but I don't have it at hand atm to look it up).

I did it last night. It was really straight forward so I don't know why it would'ne let me do it initially. The only thing different was that I used on vts for everything as far as I can see. Don't know if this would make any difference.

title and first play linked directly to movie 1 which is the short clip and the end of that movie linked to menu1 which uses the last frame as the background. Not burn't to disc yet but when played from the hard drive the link is seamless and it's a nice effect.

Thanks for replying anyway.
