MP3 Gain Question - Split from FAQ

DSPguru, I really need your help. I'm new in the audio field and I'm looking to VOLUME LEVELING all my mp3's (858 of them) to play in my iRiver. On their support site someone mentioned BeSweet to be the perfect program to archive this task. Which programs do I have to download for the Volume Leveling and do I need to convert the mp3 to other files (oggs, wav)for better results? I would also like to know if there's any guide for these projects so I can read and learn to work on them. Thank you in advance!!!

DSPguru is semi retired and doesn't frequent these forums too much these days. However I think we can handle your question. Contrary to your recommendation from the iriver forums, I would not use besweet for such a task.

There are many mass mp3 gain programs, I always liked mp3gain (http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/).
