Hi Guys,
I've encoded the main movie of the DVD successfully with CCE, extracted the Audio stream, the subtitle streams and the Chapters from the original DVD with VobEdit.

Then i created with the IfoEdit - Author new DVD function a new DVD. So i put the *.m2v file as video stream, my audio streams as audio and soo on.

So i have now i full functional VIDEO_TS folder with my new encoded video, audio, subs... but no Menu.

I need to get the Menu out of the original DVD and copy it then into my new VIDEO_TS folder. But how do i find out which files contain the menu? And should i update the IFO's after i copied the menu into my VIDEO_TS folder?

I left enough space free at my new DVD for the menu so this should be no problem.

Please, I need help. I've tried this guide here:
http://ifoedit.wh.fr0zen.com/menuidiot.html

but it doesn't works or is the guide just out-dated?

Sorry for my bad english... i'm from Germany.

Thanks in advance.

It may be easier to do it different way: replace movie in old disk with new one.

Can be easily done with DvdReMake Pro. Just import both old and new disk into DvdReMake Pro. If both movies have same amount of cells(chapters) then just select all new (Ctrl+A) and copy them. Switch to old DVD, select all and paste. If chapters are different you can use "split here" to cut them where you want.

Probably VobBlanker can also be used to repalce VTS.

OK, sounds good, but the problem is that when i just replace the video in the old disk with then new one, i still have the unwanted Audio Streams or Extras from the Old Disk. What can i do then?

Thanks in advance.

I believe what Dimad is suggesting is to replace the old video object, with the new one. In other words you're replacing the .VOB which contains the video, audio, & subs.

And yes, VobBlanker can also replace it very easily, but doesn't have a method for altering chapter points if needed.

Extras can be hidden (DvdReMake or VobBlanker are the tools).

You will already have right streams in new vob files. Info about streams in ifo file may need editing. If you replace all old cells with new ones in DvdReMake Pro this info will be adjusted automatically. Otherwise you will need to edit it manually (with DvdReMake Pro, IfoEdit or PgcEdit).

The menus of the DVD tracks are always in VTS_##_0.vob file, where ## is the number of the track (01 = main movie, 02 = first extra, 03 = second extra, and so on). The Main Menu of the DVD is in the Video_ts_0.vob. To keep the original menu just copy these files into the directory where you store the new DVD at. If the vob files will not work, then copy the *.bup and *.ifo files as well. :)
