DVD Decrypter + AutoGK

Hey !

i got this flick thats in multiple VTS's ... and when ripping it through decrypter i can only pick one vts... in IFO I mode... but i need more of them ... how should i do it ?

If im not mistaken theres a option in the options menu in ifo mode to split the Vobs in 0.99Gb pieces or just rip it in one big file(your situation).

try to find that option and disable it

didnt seem to help .. changed it like everything nothing helped ...there must be someway to pikc which vobs i want ...

If you want to deal with .VOBs in DVD Decrypter, try using "File Mode" rather than "IFO Mode".

Or decrypt both VTS's to separate folders, renumber the second set of vobs to follow those of the first set, and then move them into the first folder.

AutoGK requiers stream information .. and that doesnt work in File Mode

AutoGk doesnt require dvddecrypter to be in ifo mode, file mode will do.

If you want to convert certain chapters/extras:

1- decrypt your dvd with dvdfabdecrypter\dvddecrypter\dvdshrink in file mode to locationX on your harddrive.

2-use dvdshrink to "get" the extras you want or use dvddecrypter in ifo mode to get the chapters you want from locationX to locationA

3-point autogk to locationA and convert

either you dont understand my prob :D or im just stupid

my prod is that my flick in is multiple vts's ... and i wanna convert or encode ..dont know what its called to xvid ... and AutoGK requiers are "Stream Information" .. and yeah i can do that in "ifo mode" but i can only pick one vts at the time .. i cant pick all ..

isnt there anyway to join *.vob files or ?

Hang on.

When u rip a dvd(only main movie) in file mode with dvdshrink or dvdd you will get VTs_01_1, Vts_02_2 etc, is this what youre talking about?

Autogk handles them with no problems, select the ifo or the first vts and autogk will convert them.

Maybe a faulty disc?

However, for the purposes of clarification, do you mean;

a) The movie (say 2 hours) is made into ~4 chunks, each of which is ~ 1 gb in size? If so, follow the above advice exactly; it works.

b) It is an episodic DVD, say consisting of several distinct episodes, say 4 50 minute TV shows?

c) or....

Another problem that some people have is that their hard drives are not NTFS, and a file split is mandated by FAT32 (I tried backing up one of my discs with no file splitting and kept getting a decryption error :) ).

i know you guys are both right but there the trick ... the dvd is a basketball mixtape ... and the main movie is sperated in diffferent VTs's plus there is a xtra section ...
so if i pick the ifo or first vts i get the whole + xtra stuff .. i dont want that ...

if i want the main movie it gotta have like vts_02 , then it continues on vts_6 ... then vts_01 ... so it jumps between them .. :P

the movie is separated in 13 different vts's and then arent like 1-13 ... its like shuffle ... :P

ok, were getting somewhere now.

if dvdshrink shows your multiple vts, save/reauthor each one of them in a diiferente folder(folder1,folder2) in the exact order you want them in the imaginary final dvd.

get dvd2one and join them one by one and make sure to select "seamless join" and in the end they will be all like you want to.

point autogk to it and convert

instead of dvd2one you can use vobjoiner altough i havent tested this tool yet.

or click "reauthor" in dvdshrink drag the maim movie from right to the leftt panel and there you can extract the bits you want(select start point and end point) and dvdshrink will extract only waht you selected,do it for as many scenes you want and save each one in differente folders and then use dvd2one to join them

Rather than give up on this project because you can't figure out how to accomplish it with AutoGK, perhaps you should try an alternative (simple/r) solution - of simply loading the movie .VOBs consecutively into MPEG Mediator for conversion...

btw isnt it possible to convert those vob files to mpeg2 and then join them and then open it in autogk ?

hey ... the mediator didnt work for me but i found another tut that got the vobs 2gether

i tried with 2 vobs ... took like 40 min to complete it .. and when i tried it .. it worked fine until i got to the other vob ... it didnt play ..
