HDTV .ts stream to dvd HELP!!!!

I have downloaded a movie thats broken up into many .ts files and using VLC player i can watch the movie on my computer. What i really want to do is convert it into DVD format so i can burn it onto a disc. Ive tried the program HDTVtoMPEG2 and it seems to work, except that there is no sound in the .vob file or the .mpeg file that it creates. im not too sure about the PIDs to use either as it doesnt tell me any of that information. is there a surefire method to convert it to DVD??? any suggestions???
