I'm trying to backup one of my DVDs using DVD-rebuilder but I'm getting errors with DGIndex/DGDecode. After DVD-RB has 'prepared' all the files, i goto the directory where it created all the .d2v and .avs files and try to open an .avs in MPC just to make sure everything works... and it doesn't. I just get a video that says i have a mismatched DGIndex/DGDecode files. I did like it said and deleted every instance of DGindex and DGDecode from my computer, downloaded the latest ones fresh from http://neuron2.net/dgmpgdec/dgmpgdec.html and put those files in my avisynth plugin directory. I even deleted all the old versions of the mpeg2dec.dll.

I then re-prepared the files with DVD-RB but i'm still getting the same error. I have no idea what to do now.

Thanx for any help.

thats becuase dvd-rb does not support the newest version(s) you have to use the version that comes with it, in its installer.

ah... and so my minor paranoia to use up to date programs has screwed me. Not at all. DVD-RB is not up-to-date. :)
