I have no idea how to do this, so if you can help me please go slowly and tell me EXACTLY what to do! (thank you) I want to take just a specific length of Audio (not all of it) from a Windows Media thingy clip. Is there anyway I can do this? Can anyone help me at all? Thank you! (and if this is the wrong place to post I'm sorry!)

If you have a video stream in your file, you can check it in WMP. You can see some infos in the properties I think.
Otherwhise, if your file contains only audio stream, you can check it with MrQuestionMan (http://www.burrrn.net/?page_id=5).

You can demultiplex it with "Windows Media Stream Editor", a utility that comes with Windows Media Encoder 9.

Another method would be to record it using any .wav creating tool. Open Volume Control, click Options > Properties, select Recording and check the Stereo Mix. From that point if you open and begin recording a wav, any sound your computer makes will be included in your recording. You may want to mute Mic and close any program that may play a sound.
