Hi len0x,

I was looking through this thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=65985) and others to find out about the possibility of adding automated deinterlacing to MeGUI. It seems that AGK manages this the best, by running through 10% of the source, and checking for combing and motion. These results are then analysed somehow, and from them you can work out what sort of source you are dealing with.

Am I correct, and could you give me any pointers as to how you do this analysis?

Thanks,

Any responses? I understand if you don't want to disclose your algorithm.

Also, I didn't mean to limit it just to len0x, but I was particularly interested in the AutoGK method, as it seems (from what I have seen) to be the best around here.

It's one of the best features of AutoGK, I'm not surprised len0x don't want to share it otherwise he could make the application easily open source. I'm clueless about the the topic, unfortunately and I don't see how that could change. Regarding your question, there must be some topics around, another member that was interested in the topic was bilu. Hope this helps.
