View Full Version : Compress DVD menus only?

I am obsessed with the quality of the feature of my DVD backups (especially on episodic disks). I have heard of a program called MehuShrink that will convert motion menus to stills to save space. What I would like to do however is to re-encode the menus so they are simply a lower bitrate or resolution, but retain motion video.

What app can I do this with, or is it even possible? Any links would also be much appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. I usually use DVDRemake Pro to remove all the unwanted segment and the menus for content that I already removed. In alot of cases I can make a perfect backup on a DVD5 with all the nonsense removed but in many cases shrinking the menus only a small bit will get me just within reach. This tool is awesome. Dont know how I missed it before.

DVDRemakePro will also let you make Menu cells into stills...basically the same result

MenuShrink is another good app to look into
