Hey, a friend of mine is looking to get a DVD drive and I'd like them to get one that will read my DVD-R's that I've burned. All mine are Ritek G03's and G04's burned on a Toshiba SDR-5002. My drive reads those discs perfectly, but some others won't read them at all, or others will read maybe 90% of them. Anyway, can someone recommend a DVD-ROM that has a really good reputation in being able to read burned discs?
Thanks!

A better place to ask this question would be at the CD Freaks Forum (http://club.cdfreaks.com/).
Doom9 is more focused towards video encoding.

If you're in US or Canada, just wait for newegg's DVD drive deals where you can get a DL NEC or similar for $30 or so + Free FedEx Ground shipping.
