Where are these new XviD beta builds available from? The usual places like Koepi & Nic sites don't mention them. I'd like to use them on other computers which don't need or use AutoGK. How can I download just the XviD installer or alternatively extract the XviD installer out of the AutoGK package so it can be installed independent of AutoGK as a whole?

Those are from the CVS. Check celtic_druid's XviD page (http://www.aziendeassociate.it/cd.asp?dir=/) and you would find all the latest builds there.

Thanks for that. Can anyone explain however why the xvidvfw.dll file doesn't get updated with the AutoGK beta updates?
I can see that the xvid.ax and xvidcore.dll files are updated, but the xvidvfw.dll file on my system remains at a version dated 15/09/05 and sized at 148K whereas the latest from the CVS of 24/09/05 seems to be sized at 196K.

xvidvfw.dll is only updated when there are actual changes in the vfw code. nothing was changed since 15/09 there (only the core had modifications).

Exactly and the VfW included with AutoGK has extra MTK profiles. Since the VfW hasn't changed I don't bother patching it and rebuilding it everytime. If the VfW code does get updated I will do a new patched VfW build, until then the old one is fine.
As to why the other builds get a new VfW when the code hasn't changed. It doesn't take long and when you build the VfW it copies the core, so it is just easier for me.
So if anyone wants the AutoGK XviD, grab the latest cvs head build and the latest MTK VfW build.

I'm a little confused and was wondering if someone could help me out.
Exactly what version is included with 2.2.0?
This is the last reference I see on the History page of AGK:
2.18.1 beta
- new XviD build included (the one in 2.18 was broken for some CPUs)
- DGIndex updated to version 1.4.4 Final
Also, is it possible to just install a newer version when they come out or does it have to be written into AGK?

According to the AGK 2.20 installer:
XviD 1.1.0 build 24/09/05 + MTK profiles
