View Full Version : Scenarist crashing while compiling mixed angle

Hi!

So, my problem is the following: I have Buster Keaton's The General and want to make it a mixed angle project, with translated intertitles and stuff. I chopped the movie to bits then imported back to Scenarist (2.7), made a vob, ripped m2v (because working with 120 piece .cfx file is a huge pita, but the same happens with .cfx + small pieces), added scenes, dropped extra intertitles. Then came the shock, Scenarist crashed wthout even starting to mux! Not a single warning, not a single error, just a crash. Same happens with "make vob" and "mux all" in track editor. I tried removing some of the extra angles and it seems Scenarist will compile if it has less than 32 extra pieces, no matter what pieces are thoose, first 31, last 31 or any combination, it will compile, so the pieces themselves are ok. Anyone ever came across the same thing?

<< really desperate. :(

(hm, on a second tought, even with 30 extra pieces and all the scenes in place Scenarist generates enormous number of files in the mux directory. could this be a poblem?)

Can you give an (graphical) overview of the project, I'm having a hard time visualizing it :)

Here's a zoomed out view (http://img373.imageshack.us/img373/6838/generaltrack3us.png) of the current track. Made a few combines with the pieces here and there, so now I have 31 extra video bit, so DaikinBasicUtil.dll wont scream and crash when I'm trying to mux. On a second tought the number of the additional video pieces is interesting, 31, hmmm.. :D

Also I found a solution for the following error:

Info Multiplexing VOB Main Stream
Warning Total bitrate too HIGH. Audio(1) PTS(-1) is less than SCR(184) (around 00:00:00;00).

Error dvd_mux : DoMux Multiplexing Error
Error Terminated Multiplexing (the_general.scn-the_general-t_t.vob.0).
Error Total bitrate is too HIGH. Please reduce the stream bitrate or the number of stream.
Error Multiplex is failed.
Error Multiplexer failed (the_general-t)
Info Finished Multiplex - 1 error(s), 0 warning(s)

The problem here is with the part _before_ the multiangle video part, but it would've been nice if scenarist just said that.. :-/
