virtualdub overlay file date?

so i have bunch of video files shot at different dates and i would like to overlay date text over them (like in a batch), any vdub filters for that task? (this are just some digicam mpeg1 clips)

(also nice addition would be to be able to select the duration of the overlayed text, so it wont spoil the entire clip, but maybe just like first N seconds...)

You could use a subtitle filter, or neuron2's logo filter. i wouldnt know how to do this in batch form though...
