Hello,
I have several DVDs (on my hdd) and I would like to add a short clip (about 5 sec) to the very beginning of the DVD (the first thing it will show when played) and continue as usual.
Anyone know a good way to do so.. ?
Thanks ;)

Suggestion...
Load your DVD in PgcEdit and selecting from the menu bar above, Title ---> Import First-Play (startup) Clip.
This macro should bring about the desired success.

I get the following error when I do so:
"The macro need an unused GPRM to work. There are no remaining free GRPMs!"
is there a way I can create a GRPM.. ?

If you don't have any free GPRM, you can try the following.
You call "Info -- > Find Unused GPRMs ". Look in the list for a GPRM, this GPRM may not be already taken in the First-Play PGC. Select this GPRM with the slider in the macro.
Important: In any case test the DVD in a software player of her choice!

Try this, look at your list of GPRM's there should be one that is only used once, perhaps gprm(7) do a search for it. When you're in the PGC with the gprm(#) you need, copy all the pre commands including that line and save them in the scratchbook, make a note of which PGC you edited. Change the command to a NOP. Run the Import title macro. Go back to the PGC you edited and replace the PGC commands with those in the scratchbook.
I'm not sure what the import title macro does, but if it sets gprm(#) to a 1, then you may have to remove that command so that it doesn't interfere with the original "First Play" commands. Just be sure to run a trace afterwards to be sure everything still works.

I god 4 GPRM used once - 7,8,13,14.

What do you mean when you say: "When you're in the PGC with the gprm(#)"
in PgcEdit ? and how do i get to the gprm ? what pre commands ?
i'm sorry.. but i'm kinda noob with all the pgc edit stuff..

When I said gprm(#) meaning the # of the gprm you're going to use, 7 for example. There is a search box at the bottom of PgcEdit type in gprm(7) press "All" and it will show you All the locations in a pop-up window. Pre commands are the PGC commands before the cell executes, I suggest you study the PgcEdit documentation, and look at some of the guides. I realize it takes some time for all the terminology to sink in, but there are tons of great information in the guides, documents and in these forums. I can't really explain it much clearer.
If you're having trouble doing this in PgcEdit, you might have more luck with VobBlanker, it can very easily replace a Cell with a .VOB that you specify, and you won't have to worry about changing the VM commands, GPRM's etc.

Now, with this said, you could import a new title and jump to this title and back to First Play PGC.
I'll try to find the post I had with checking all GPRMs in First Play if not 0.

sorry for poping this thread but I got a new project with the same problem.
I tried to do what has been said here with my last project but I gave up..
In my new project I got the same only now all of the GPRMs are used more then once.
Isnt there a way I can just add a new unused GPRM ? (What is this GPRM anyway ?)
Also, in the new PgcEdit 0.6.1 I am able to Import a First-Play clip although there are no free GPRMs, but after doing so it cuts a diffrent part of the dvd and also repeats the clip twice.
Anyway, could anyone please explain me with specifc details how to free (or create) a GPRM, or refer me to a guide ?
I'm sorry for being a pain in the ass..

You can't just create a GPRM from thin air. Their are only 16 General Parameter Registers available. They are numbered 0 to 15. More info on GPRM's here (http://www.dvd-replica.com/DVD/gprm.php).
For your current problem, run in trace mode and single step thru the commands while monitoring the GPRM's (click Watch GPRM), this should give you a clue as to why it is acting the way it does and the changes you need to make so it will behave.
