Hey,
I used 2cool's great guide on how to skip language menus (http://www.videohelp.com/~r0lZ/pgcedit/third_party/2cool/remove_language_aspect_ratio_menus/remove_language_and_aspect_ratio_menus_intro.htm)
but got a slight problem, at the end (page 3) when i'm actually blanking the menu.
When selecting "Create a new blank VOB Cell" and clicking OK, I get this error:
"Error appending new Cell to VOB file: The number of sectors in the VOB file(s) (2722 sectors) don't match the VMGM_C_ADT table (52 sectors)!"

Any idea on what to do to blank it.. ?

Thanks ;)

r0lZ has been working on blank cells earlier for current PgcEdit beta. It could be a bug and seeing you how posted a error message, that for r0lZ to figure out.

As for another alternative to blanking that cell, VobBlanker would be a great suggestion.

This problem is caused by an inadequation between the VOB and the IFOs. So, something you have made before went wrong.
You may try to process the domain with VobBlanker to fix the VOB. Skip all titlesets except the titleset containing your menu. Uncheck process title. Don't select anything to blank. After the processing, try again.

The PgcEdit bug referenced by 2COOL is explained here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=100287). If you have experienced the same problem, the VobBlanker method above should work.

So, something you have made before went wrong.in defense for Somebla, there is the possibility that the DVD wan't authored work prior to mastering and Somebla just worked on it after a successful rip.

Probably DvdReMake Pro can handle it. There is a similar guide for it: http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremakepro/guide_ht_bypass_menu.php

@2COOL: Yep, it's theorically possible. But I have never seen this kind of problem in a commercial DVD.
As explained in the other thread, the problem might be caused by the PgcEdit bug reported by CirTap. It's easy to verify. If you got a 'can't read "parent": no such variable' error before, and you have not saved the DVD manually, it's PgcEdit's fault!
Anyway, in both cases, if the VOB is too large, that may be because a new cell has been appended at the end of the VOB but this cell is not referenced in the IFOs. PgcEdit can't add another cell safely in this case. A processing with VobBlanker to drop the unreferenced material should be sufficient to fix the problem.

@Dimad: The method to skip the menu is not the problem. It's better to have correct IFOs before doing anything on the VOB, no?

@Somebla: If you don't need to keep everything you see before the language menu when you play the DVD, you may also try the Jump2PGC method explained in details here (http://home.tiscali.be/debie.roland/pgcedit/third_party/blutach/How_to_use_PgcEdit_new_macro.htm).

You are right. What I wanted to say is that DvdReMake may be less demanding to the quality of IFO files as it recreates practically all tables from scratch. And reference to the guide was just to help Somebla with the interface of the program (as editing needed is the same in both cases).
