I have GBPVR recording TV shows, into mpeg2 format. the files are on the PC, no problems there.

When I went to use Nero, it failed, and I found out I was missing a plugin. I want to code the MPEG2 into VOB or DVD files for playback on my regular DVD Player/tv set.

so, with the plugin, the burn still fails-and I am even testing with a tv recording of 30 minutes, like less than a gig of a file so plenty of room on the dvd-r....and ample freespace on all HDD involved in the recording (for temp files, etc).

Is there a quick/easy/fairly painless way I can convert to DVD/VOB? I use DVD Decrypter/shrink to backup my DVDs, so if I can get the TV shows into VOB, I figured I could use shrink to compile an ISO file and burn via nero that way....

any help is greatly appreciated.

Read the guides on Doom9's site. (Go to www.doom9.org -> Guides -> DVD / Mini DVD -> DVD Encoding Guides.)
Mux the encoded video and audio with Muxman, create the ISO with PgcEdit (or DVDShrink) and burn with DVD Decrypter. Avoid Nero!
