View Full Version : Menu auto layout freeware?

I have several freeware/shareware DVD authoring apps but I haven't found one that will do simple menu layout automatically. I'm wondering if there is such a thing as a dvd menu creation app that will analyze an existing VIDEO_TS folder and let you generate a menu with a button for each title and perhaps a "play all" button, with the buttons spaced out symetrically on the form. It would be so much easier to just right click on each button and the background to choose an image file to load with the buttons layed out according to a template.

Nero Burning Rom had something like this for VCD creation where it even grabbed an image from each mpg to load into the buttons. But even manual image selection would be great if spared the manual dragging, resizing and positioning of the buttons. Doesn't seem like a lot of work but I'm using an authoring tool that can put mpg files from VCDs on a DVD so potentially there could be 6 or 8 titles on each disc and after a while it gets to be a lot of dragging and resizing. ;)

Would this (DVD Author) be helpful?

Hi. Thanks for the suggestion. I did find a freeware. Not exactly what I was looking for but may be an option for a DVD with lots of titles and chapters. It's called TitleWriter. It comes with templates of colored buttons
for titles and chapters in menus.
