I have these files on my hard drive, and not on a dvd. I need for autogk to recognize these files but it gives error: "need stream info file".
So I need a ripping program to recognize the dvd files on my hard drive, which DVD Decrpter does not do, does it? freeware would be nice, easy use even better.
This is how the files look on my hard drive. I am wanting to convert these to xvid using autogk but first need to either re-reip them using dvd decrypter or some other program... hope I am making sense :)

In DVD decrypter, change the mode to IFO.

in the right pane, choose the longest (time wise) PGC, and ripp the disc.
load into AutoGK using the .ifo file

excuse me for my ignorance, but my dvd decrypter is already in IFO mode. These files are NOT on a dvd. There is no DVD rom in use. These files previously ripped from a dvd are in a folder on my desktop. AutoGk will not recognize the folder when I try to load this folder into AutoGk. And DVD Decrypter will not recognize files from my hard drive, only from the dvd drive.
I have copied several of my movies using dvd decrypter and autogk, love both the programs and know how to use them both.
My question again, is how to make dvd decrypter recognize a folder and not a rom. Is this possible? If not, I need to a program that will allow me to convert these files on my hard drive to xvid with auto gk. Do I need to rerip them with another pgoram then load them into autogk or what?? Thanks! :)

use a burning program to make an image of the folder, then use a mounting program to mount that image and then dvddecryptor will recognize it. Nero would work...

whoops, i thought you had dvd with you, so my above post was to reripp again in DVDD.
google for a program called IMGTOOL CLASSIC and google for deamon tools.
IMGTOOL CLASSIC will make those files into a dvd image.
daemon tools will allow you to mount the image as a pretent dvd-rom which will allow you to use any ripper you like to reripp the dvd.
