div x movie to play in DVD player?

hello,

I am totally new to this, and never experienced the div x.
well, here ,my probleme: I am new to this:)

I want make play a div x movie of 700meg in my stand alone player.
my DVD player is not div x. it is a old one.

I guess I have to convert the movie with a software? which one is free and easy to use?
I am testing this! I am unsure I will be happy with movies of 700meg insted of my regular 4.3 gig.
I have a projector, and how will be the quality on a 100 inches "screen"?my white wall is my screen.

any advice where to look. or what to download would be a real help for me.

If your DVD player only supports DVDs, then you'll have to convert your 700MB AVI to DVD.
