I have encoded an anime DVD using 1.0RC5.1. It was playing fine 5/6 of the way. But on th rest, I get stuttering video and audio. Both are out-of-sync. I checked the original and this problem is not present. This is the first time I encountered this problem.
The DVDs was encoded weeks ago but since I have the original disc and a new version just come out, I tried reencoding it again using 1.0RC6. I still get the same problem.
I tried to play the video on 2 PCs (one AMD64 3000+ with 512MB RAM and ATI 9800 and the other is a dual xeon with scsi raid 0 with 1Gb RAM and ATI 9200). With my setup, I doubt the problem is hardware-related.
Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Did you use the 'Output to ISO image file'?
If you did, did you use the 32k padding?
Are you using different media...different DVD disks?
I had a problem with stuttering with the 32k pad ISO. I went back to regular mode and have had no problems. Could have been a problem with my computer though...but I didn't want to waste another disk to find out so I just decided to stick with what worked for me in the past. I was using
1.0 RC5.1 at the time.

how do I set this 32k padding? I can't see an option for it.
Also I didn't burn the dvd image. I just loaded it into alcohol and played it from there. I always load them into alcohol first to save me blanks in case there are problems with the output DVD.

Go to Mode at top of DVD Rebuilder Pro., then enable the 'Output to ISO image file' then tick the 'Select ISO Output options' directly below it. A window will popup that displays the 32k padding option.
32k padding option is only available if you are outputting to an ISO image.
Tick disable in the window, save and quit.

Why would the 32k pad cause such stuttering? This sounds simply like poor media quality - bad playback on the edge of the disk.
The 32k pad simply ensures there's enough difference between an IDO and its BUP equal to at least 1 ECC block. Thye only adjustments that are made are to the sectors in VIDEO_TS.IFO (if you do a Get VTS Sectors in IfoEdit you will see the differences in titlesets which are very small).

@blutach
You have been around long enough to know to read the entire thread.
Just busting your chops a little. :D

Aaah - I see. I did read the thread (honest!) but had to go through it again. Consider chops busted :D
Still, the 32k padding wouldn't affect anything to do with the mux and the sectors of course are not noticed in a software player.
