Hello,
Can someone please tell me how to replace the audio track in a DVD with an external audio file (.wav or .mp3). I would like to keep a subtitle file or 2, but I want to strip out most of the other stuff, like the original audio track, some subtitle files, extra features (documentary).
I would like the output to be in DVD format on a dvd-r disc. The resulting file might be around 5GB and therefore might need a little shrinking too.
Thanks,
Gianni

Okay, I made an .AC3 file.
I want to make a new DVD with the main movie. I want to remove the audio track and replace it with the new .AC3. I also need to add a subtitle file.
How do I make a DVD (dvd-r 4.7GB) like this from scratch?

Edit: Also, be careful since mp3 is simply not allowed as a DVD audio track...

Thanks for the indication. I got as far as VobBlanker, but I couldn't replace the pgc because I got an error message: There is something wrong in number of cells in C://VTS_01_0.IFO
Actually I got an error message with muxman too:
"Reference to non-existant scene "Segment_1_scn38" from PGC "VTS_01_TTL01_PGC1"

Okay I managed to do it, more or less.
I converted my mp3 to ac3 with besweet.
I ripped the DVD in file mode.
Demuxed the main title with PGCdemux.
Renamed my converted ac3 (ex mp3) to the name of the demuxed ac3 audio file.
Used IFOedit to remux it. IFOedit just blanked the last 2 missing cells (which weren't needed) whereas Muxman gave me an error.
Then I used VOBblanker as you said.
With the resulting files, I used DVDshrink to get it to fit on a 4.7GB disc.
The only problem was that IFOedit only allows one subtitle picture. I would have liked 2, but one is okay. The bigger problem was that this subtitle is marked as English on the DVD when it is actually a different language.
Tested the new DVD and it works great.
Thanks very much for your help :)
