I'm having a strange problem with AutoGK and Xvid encodes. The files will playback fine on my PC, but on my standalone they are very blocky. Not just a few blocks here and there, but pretty bad. Not every file autogk produces has the problem, but most of them do. My standalone is a new LG LDA-511, and I believe it has the Mediatek chip in it. The strange thing is that I also have FairUse Wizard 2.1 installed, and I've never had an Xvid file from it ever have the same "blocky" problems as the Xvid files from AutoGK.
I have enabled Standalone support and have MTK/SIGMA selected in the hidden options. The problem has happened in AutoGK v1.96, 2.16b, and 2.17b. If you know of something I could try or do, please let me know.
Thanks

are you sure that it uses mediatek chip? this sound exactly like ESS' problem with custom matrixes - try that options as well...

len0x, it always seemed to happen when AutoGK had room to throw alot of quality at the file. So I took a trailer and set custom size of 200mb (which is way too much) and did one with ESS and one with Mediatek. The one encoded for Mediatek had the problem and the file encoded for ESS worked fine. Strange considering that what I've found on this standalone is that it's got the Mediatek chipset and supports Qpel, etc.. If you set Xvid to the DXN HT profile, will autogk use that or ignore it?
One more question... the ESS file was 27.4mb and the Mediatek file was 35.6mb. Just curious what the differences are.
Thanks
