View Full Version : neuron2: possible to add the DGIndex version # inside the d2v?

Just a line somewhere inside the d2v, preferrably at the top? I often get whacked by obsolete d2v files as I try and get back to older unfinished encoding projects since I keep DGIndex always updated down to the current beta. I know I can regenerate the d2vs using the current DGIndex, but when there are many d2vs in question I would rather quickly downgrade DGIndex and proceed with the encoding than spend time regenerating all the d2vs.
Not a big deal, so even if it can't be done - no worries.
P.S: If the version number is already there inside d2v, then I'm blind for sure.

Very first line of the d2v should be something like "DGIndexProjectFile08", the number on the end is kind of like a version number. You could probably have several copies of dgdecode.dll, renamed to match the d2v version that they decode (dgdecode08.dll for instance). Then just change the avs script to load the one you want (and don't keep them in the plugins folder).

I had a guess that the first line was some kind of versioning but couldn't figure out what exactly. Thanks for confirming that.
But my issue now is - I have an unfinished encoding project (several actually) which I attempted about 3 months ago and didn't complete it because at that time I wasn't satisfied with the results. Now I want to take a crack at it again, but the d2v(s) is obsolete now. The first line of the d2v says 'DGIndexProjectFile10'. But just with this information how do I find out which DGMPGDec package I had used for creating that d2v?

Here's what I think they are:
DGIndexProjectFile06 = v1.1.0
DGIndexProjectFile08 = v1.3.0
DGIndexProjectFile10 = v1.4.0
DGIndexProjectFile11 = v1.4.3
Neuron2 might be able to give a more complete list, the missing ones are probably from betas that I never downloaded.
