View Full Version : split from fun thread: editing/preview in AutoGK

When I first tried AutoGK after using Vidomi for years, I was disappointed to not have a preview window or the ability to edit. Vidomi's cropping actually overlays lines so you can see what will be cropped before you start, and the editing feature is still my choice for my TV captures.

I split this post from the fun thead as it doesn't really belong there and I wanted to say something about it.

As DGIndex is going to have editing capabilities in the future - editing in AutoGK would be possible via that application.

And about crop preview: its actually not a big deal to see what's going to be cropped as I can turn that option in autocrop filter.

aha! many ppl would like to preview crop or auto-crop, but you say you are only bugfixing atm so if you could make an exception...
when you say dgindex will have editing capabilities "in the future", does this mean you will include "that" built of dgindex in autogk (and then maybe arrange the autogk GUI to make it able to edit video?) ?

Actually I though about it and its not a good idea to always show what is cropped since there will be always good material cropped away and for newbies that will be really confusing (all that mod16 stuff). Making it optional... I just couldn't be bothered atm...

no arranging of GUI... if I am around at the time editing will be possible its probably gonna be done by opening D2V files that were edited with DGIndex before...

even if preview is available - its not interative: you have to switch back and forth from hidden options to main window and launch preview...
