Maybe. Look up the player by make/model in the database at www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers and see what others have reported.

Moving to H/W players forum.

Well, then, it seems pretty obvious to me that you should contact the seller and obtain that minimum amount of information before making your investment, if you're concerned about features..

In addition, DivX Networks certifies players from some manufacturers. See http://www.divx.com/hardware/?src=toptab_hardware_from_/index.php for information.

Look up the model number of the player on google or videohelp and you'll find out. DVP642 from Phillips is a common DivX-capable settop.

I would recommend you start by reading this excellent Stand-alone MPEG-4 (DivX, XviD...) Player Buyers Guide (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=98228) and go on from there!
