hi, i am newish to making dvds.
my problem is that i have made a dvd from my files and it plays fine but it seems quite dark, is there a program that will let me lighten the dvd up or do i need to re make the dvd from scratch.
thanks in advance for any help with this ....

Hi!

It might be simpler to adjust the brightness on the hardware you're using for playback...

cheers for that, it looks like that is what i will end up doing, just did not want to change all the settings on the tv everytime i put a dvd in to watch after i have made it.
thanks again ...

Not sure of the exact filter or whatever to use but if you wanted to redo the DVD, you could use Avisynth to adjust the brightness when re-encoding the DVD.

Only a suggestion though.

thanks again ...

My pleasure ;>}

By the way, one (and only one) of my televisions has always required different settings for DVD playback versus cable/satellite/on-air...
