Flashing Killed my RJtech 1500II
Updating to the newest firmware killed my player. No Power whatsoever. The Upgrade failed and after that the unit would not power up. Is there any fix or should I just throw it in the trash?

Hmmm!
It seems you're not alone in killing this make/model of player! By-the-way, were you able to determine which firmware version was in your player before you flashed it? Because I'm wondering if your player (and other peoples players) already had the most recent firmware (which is still: bank30.rom - Released 25 May 2005) installed to begin with. If so, who knows, an over the top install using the same firmware could confuse the player and kill it Me thinks we need advice from an firmware guru Cheers

No it definately had an older firmware. I followed the directions to the letter , the first time I flashed I got an error, so I turned it off, powered up and the unit did come up but it was all messed up, DVD's were playing wonky and the remote would not work. Since the Player was messed up I figured I'd try again, same disk, the update went thru this time like a champ. Powered down and it was dead after that, so perhaps It did update the same version over itself, but at that point I had no choice It was messed up so I had nothing to lose. This is why flashing always make me nervous.

And at the very worse you might be able to get a new chip from RJTech....
So there may be hope! Cheers
