Philips DVP642 -- playing dvd+rw or dvd-rw

Hi,

I was wondering usually how many short 1 hrs tv show can you burn on dvd+rw or dvd-rw and can be played successfully on philips dvd642.

The reason is that when i burn 15 to 20 tv shows to 1 dvd i am usually able to play up to the 10 or 12 of the shows and the rest is not playable. Is there a limitation on how many data file .avi or mpg that we can burn to a dvd that Philips is able to read?

Also when i press disc menu on Philips it usually takes a very long time to scan and load the list. Anyone has the same situation?

Note that i use nero 6.6.0.13 to burn data files,and os is winxp professional.
