rca to vga conversion?

Is there a simple way of switching a composite RCA to a VGA? I've been looking around and so far I've seen a number of different things but nothing that really looks like it would work well. I've looked into scan converters (too expensive, and seems to only be setup for vga to comp. rca, wrong direction)

The closest I've come is component rca to VGA. So if there is a way to go from composite rca to component rca that would work too. I have a bad feeling it isn't easily or cheaply done. If anyone knows of a workaround or a cheap solution, please tell me.

There is a device called FlyTV (Box Pro), which can convert composite and s-video to VGA. It even has a full band analogue TV tuner plus obligatory remote control.

My apologies for missing your post until now....

Cheers
