Because Pioneer is part of -r camp. Not having the support listed doesn't always mean that it isn't really supported
So I recommend you to test it by yourself.

Hi, thank you all for your replies !!
You're right, Pioneer supports DVD+R/RW perfectly well. I tested today without any problems. I wonder why dvd+r/rw don't appear in the manual under supported dvd formats. Only marketing ?
