MTK 1389 pause problem

I have a Scott 842 rev III player build on MTK 1389DE chipset, what anoys me is when i pause a movie the player turn off by itself after some time, anyone know if that can be turned off in the setup so it keeps the pause untill i resume the movie again ?

Screensaver function. Although it's there for a reason, which is self explanatory.

firmware update, Scott 842 DE

Have you updated the firmware of your player? I also have a Scott 842 and I need subtitles pretty bad...

From what I've seen on http://1389.zewan.com/index.htm (in french), it seems that this player is compatible with the Lenco DVD-37.

no havent updatet the firmware so far, need to build the interface first so i can backup the old firmware before playing arround whit ither firmwares so i can restore it if something goes wrong

No that one is for the second generation scott 842 player that was build on the sigma chip
