Which one to buy....

Can anyone help me pick out a new DVD player? I have some rather odd desires that are not likely to be listed on the manufacturer's website.

First the basics:
progressive component video and optical/coaxial 5.1 audio

Now for the hard part:
-One which can easily be modified to run all regions and output pal discs as ntsc.
-Can turn off that damn "prohibited user operations" lock. I'm sick of watching the useless FBI warning.
-The firmware can be modded to allow custom splash screens or other weird stuff.
-Easy to add a HDD or compact flash player.
-Has a firewire video output. (I really doubt this one, but it sure would be great. Are you listening manufaturers?)

Oh yeah, most of all I want it to be cheap!

Well, if anyone knows of a player that meets some of these specifications, let me know.
Thanks!
