XVID & deinterlacing? Please help me...

Dear All,

I use VegasVideo (4.0/5.0) for clips rendering...
For MPEG-2 I use internal Vegas option to deinterlace video. For DIVX I use DIVX option (in codec settings) to "deinterlace all frames"

Could you please tell me, how can I perfom deinterlacing with XVID? Must I have some extra deinterlacing filter? Unfortunately I have no infotmation about such external software for Vegas...It would be best to generate progressive video (from DVD source) by XVID itself...

Thank you!

Best wishes,
Sergey

There is no such option in XviD. Pretty sure that the developers some time ago decided that such things (resizing, denoising, etc.) had no place in a codec. I am sure that Vegas is capable of de-interlacing or you could encode interlaced.
