i believe for the best performance you would need to run it under a 64 bit operating system such as windows xp 64bit edition to be able to access the best features of 64 bit processors.
you should be able to compile a 64bit version your self but for best performance the actual program needs to be optomiased for 64bit instructions. does anyone have a guide for compiling an 64bit version of xvid? |
