I don't know honestly
Too busy to think about it

Anyway, tHe gLoCh, are you ready for public testing? I won't able to actively support 0.29 alphas for a little while, but if you can then I can start building them at SF.

@sillKotscha

I'm sure forum will welcome 0.29 alphas, but if nobody able to fix the bugs then it'll be pretty sad discussion like:

- user: I found a bug.
- user2: I found that as well.
- developer: OK
- user 3: And I got that bug as well.
- developer: I know.
- user 4: I found annoying bug, when it's going to be fixed?
- developer: it was reported several times already. no promises on when it'll be fixed
- user 5: I just came across this nasty bug. I've read somewhere that others had the same problem, but couldn't find solution for it. Anybody can help me?
- developer:

You know what I mean

P.S. I don't know yet if I'm gonna integrate IVTC/interlacing detection, coz GK currenly doesn't have a mechanism to do anything automatically before job goes into queue.

MKV

Hi Lenox, I know this has been discussed before, but is it possibe to use Mosu's mkvtoolinux for muxing mkv files in gknot .29? The reason I ask is because I don't know what the current Vdubmod developmers are going to add to vdubmod for mkv. Mosu has already added the new lacing to mkvtoolinux, and it can now properly mux vobsub subs. As it is right now with the current build of Vdubmod, I can't even edit my new mkv's with the new lacing. I know that the devs will add this later, but I don't think that they could add all the features to vdubmod as fast as mosu is. Also it's much easier to replace mosu's exe than having a whole new build of vdubmod each time something new comes out.

no
Each job = vdubmod script. I don't want to break that unless VDubMod cannot be used at all (and considering that mkv support is not released even at alpha stage i assume that was only hypothetical question )

P.S. If you're saying that MKV changes that rapidly that VDubMod cannot even be updated properly then I would rather wait until it gets stable enough to produce not more that 2 updates a year (god I love AVI - no hassle whatsoever )

Hahahaha

I completely understand your concern as a developer. No one wants to update that frequently, especially if it's not your program that needs to be updated. And yes it was a hypothetical question, but I wanted to make a suggestion anyways.

it's pretty tough to work on two programs at the same time. I'm sure that when AutoGK has stabilized (in terms of "works for most people"), GK development will resume, but you can't have both at the same time.

That is if, its even lenox intention to further develop Gordian Knot?
Perhaps AutoGK will eventually replace Gordian Knot! I mean heís only got two hands, (you do only have 2 hands donít you) so he will probably have to concentrate on developing one of the two, donít get me wrong I hope Iím wrong, but if Iím not, itís more that understandable and Iím still grateful for the great work that heís doing.

Not necessarily , but I hope the Auto-IVTC process gets exported to GK as an option - and what a great option it would be

That's very optimistic scenario. Many ppl still use GK as bitrate calculator/resizer. I'd rather do minor support for existing features then bringing the whole architecture to AutoGK (Pro version).
