video capture of console input

hi
im pretty sure this is feasible, but i done a few searches and not found what im looking for.

basically i want to buy a tv capture card and plug my console (game cube) into the card (perhaps via tv) to enable video capture of console input. But i since i dont own a tv or tv card i dont want to make a purchase to find it aint possible to do this.

anyone looked into this or can point me in the right direction ?

thanx

You need a tv card with some kind of video input (preferably s-video). Then you just plug the console's video out to the video in and it should work.
