audio editor

there is a program that will take a wav file and can change it multiple ways, one way is to have the left channel L+R anr the right L-R, does anyone know of this program or a simmiler program?

You should be able to do that in the channel mixer in Soundforge. I take it you're trying to filter out Dolby prologic information from a stereo file?
