So No More Xvid?

I just read the post over http://www.slashdot.org about the Sigma Codec copyright infringement. I haven't seen anything here yet so i thought I might post. Is it true that all work has stopped on Xvid idefinitly? And I thought we were going to get a new version of Xvid all this time.

@ All Developers of Xvid. You have friends on this forum and you can coun't on our support. Xvid is great.
