Problems with authoring a svcd with a dvd2svcd mpeg

Hi

I have been using DVD2SVCD for a while now with great results.

I burn the bin/cue files with Nero and they play great

I have 2 dvd players. A Dansai that plays everything and an Apex 600A.

The Apex only seems to play certain SVCDS.

Everything done with dvd2svcd plays fine WHEN I burn the bin/cue files creating in the latter stages or the automated process.

But if I drag the mpegs created (still in the MOVIE folder in dvd2svcd) into the template for creating a SVCD with NERO, it doesn't play on my Apex.

Just burn the bin/cue you may say.

But surely this proves that the mpeg is totally complient but it must be the way the SVCD is authored that is the problem.

Has anyone else come across this and does anyone care? lol

hi thebigbeef,
nero is not recommanded for burning svcd`s cause it has a bug in correct packet size (correct=2324bytes per packet)..

the images by dvd2svcd are already authored, but when drag n`dropping the.mpeg its going to be authored by nero..

maybe try ulead`s movie factory for authoring(the menus generated by it are nicer than nero`s and it works..)
