DV Player\deinterlacer\encoder
Hello
I'm interested in developing sort of a small editing suite for DV movies, freeware of course. Can any body help in directing me ? I've read the RFC and many artcles on the subject of IEEE 1394 to understand how to extract the movie from the cameras, but I can't seem to find any samples on the subject. I think the first thing is to wright a player for DV that does the deinterlacing and encodes it in the correct resolution to a different file type. So help in any way is wellcome. thanks dakos |

Er, altough I'm not an programmer and cannot direct you directly to the things you want, you could check out this small link list:
http://ookami.iwebland.com/programmers.html Maybe, you'll find something that will help you. Cheers, Mijo.

Thanks but this is the first thing....
Thanks but this is the first thing I looked at.
What I meen is more of the DV oriented sites like: http://www.schirmacher.de/arne/dvgrab/index_e.html But for windows OS, that contain information and source code on how to ineract with the DV cameras, codecs and the computer screen. |

The idea is not to make another virtualDub
The idea is not to make another virtualDub.
If it were then I'd much ruther write a filter that anables us to open DV files from virtualDub and I beleve even aviSynth supports that partially (Type 1 files only). Since virtualDub doesn't interact with the cameras and it doesn't support DV files and it doesn't deinterlace DV streams then the rest is just nice gui and thats not very hard to create. Thanks for the good intentions dakos Last edited by avig70; 29th March 2002 at 08:49. |
