removing subtitles

There's alot of info about ripping, adding and editing subtitles, but I don't see anything about removing subtitles. Can anyone give me more info?

The reason is that most of the time dealing with this is a trivial matter...

If the subtitles are enbedded in the movie, they cannot be removed and that's it.

If they are in a separate file, simply delete the file.

If they are embedded as a subtitle stream in a MPEG2 file, they are only played on DVD or SVCD players, and they are switchable so you usually you do not want to suppress them. But they can be supressed bay demuxing and remuxing that audio+video streams.
