angry neighbours and volume control

Hi Folks

I got a really fucked up neighbour who complains like mad when we watch a movie in the evening a little too loud.
You all know how it is, if you turn the volume to a level
where even explosions or music ain't too loud, you won't be able
to understand a single word of the talking in the movie.
The only way to get around this is to play constantly on your
stereos volume, but that's no fun.

So the question is:
Is there any software or player for divx movies capable of
auto-adjusting the sound volume while playing the movie ?

Stop cross posting and stop the offensive language. Read the forum rules.

I've already answered this question in the audio forum. <sigh>Waste of bandwith.

sorry, I am not a native speaker. I thought cross posting meant placing a thread somewhere off-topic. I didn't know where to put it exactly, because literally speaking it doesn't fit in any category.
And as you can see at the timestamps, all posts were made before anyone answered, not afterwards to annoy anyone.

Thanks for your answer, I'll give it a try
