Need advice for this video

Hi guys,

I am new to AS and started 2 weeks ago. I need some advice for a video of mine. The original footage was taken with super 8 and later converted to VHS and from VHS to DVD. The original super 8 and VHS doesn't exsist anymore, all I have is the VOB file from DVD, so I have to work with that. Anyway, the quality is in bad condition and I am wondering if there are any filters to fix it, or at least to improve it a bit.

I have uploaded 2 short sample clips: http://www41.zippyshare.com/v/54720594/file.html

What do you guys think I can do and which filters do you recommend for that video?

If all you have is the VOB why did you give us AVI samples?

You should cut samples of the VOB (using for example either DGIndex or DGSplit).

Which filters would you suggest to remove the green lines ?

And which filters would you suggest to improve the video in general?

I would really appreciate if someone can help.

For anyone having problems with the linked clip (downloads for me under FreeDownloadManager as 'null'),
rename to fred.RAR or similar, and it will decompress ok.

EDIT: Had a quick look. Looks to me like Jmac698's area of expertise, he's off for the holiday season I think.

EDIT: Maybe Yup has a script for that sort of thing, not sure.
