AACS for lxbdplayer

Hy,

I found a plugin for this player : lxBDPlayer(http://lxbdplayer.sourceforge.net/english.html)
this plugin add to lxBDPlayer all AACS library of dumpHD
with this plugin you can use lxBDPlayer for play protected BD

with this software it's easy to play a bluray

just install lxBDPlayer with the deb
install the plugin with the deb

if you want the plugin find the key just install makemkv 1.5.5 (not 1.5.6) because this hack (showkeys.so) don't work with the last version of makemkv
add showkeys this file in /usr/lib

the files :
deb : http://www.mediafire.com/?d1n3zyyhz2h
source : http://www.mediafire.com/?rcm4jtqciom
showkeys 32bit : http://www.mediafire.com/?zngkqngmwju
showkeys 64bit : http://www.mediafire.com/?emhjyymftmg

With it you can easily read a blu-ray in lxbdplayer.
Have you look the sources? I know anything about java.

@ubuntosaure

I don't understand the purpose of the plugin.

Perhaps you don't know but, in addition to ripping to .MKV format, MakeMKV will, by itself, do a full disc 1:1 rip of ANY BluRay disc.

So what is the purpose of this hack that requires the use of MakeMKV?

lxbdplayer and makemkv 1.6.5

Hi! I use lxdbplayer with makemkv, but as it does not work with the newest version of makemkv i can not play blu-ray, witch are not in keysdb.cfg. I upgraded to 1.6.5 because 1.5.5 says "this is not the newest version" and refuses to work.
terminal-output form lxbdplayer:

Charging plugin ... AACSDecrypt (based on DumpHD) : original author KenD00DumpHD (Mod) 0.01 Beta Original Author : KenD00

Opening Key Data File... OK
Initializing AACS... OK
Loading BDVM... FAILED
bdvm.vm.BDVM
Automatic BD+ removal disabled, specify a Conversion Table manually to remove BD+ if necessary

Start time: Sat Mar 05 15:03:35 CET 2011

Checking source...
Source path: /media/MONSTER_HOUSE
Initializing source...
Disc type found: Blu-Ray BDMV
Collecting input files...
Source initialized
Identifying source...
Identifying disc... OK
DiscID : 6995062CD7C4662FD5447EC255AAA78C438A3566
Searching disc in key database...Disc not found in key database
You Are in Linux : DumpKey From MakeMkv... Please Wait it's maybe long
This disc cannot be decrypt
Finished identifying source

also: I have installed bdvmdbg (from marillat vers 0.1.5) - strange it didn't found it?!

I have LG BD-RE BH10LS30, Debian-testing, blu-ray is "Monster House".
Before i upgraded to makemkv 1.6.5 it worked.
Any help possible??
Thanks!

Current version is 1.6.7 and I did not managed to find the 1.5.5. It is a pitty that you have been obliged to upgrade from the 1.5.5.

Me too, but the pb surely comes from the version of makemkv

Did you manage to downgrade to 1.5.5, or does anybody have a solution to read the BD on Linux ???

nounours18200 :
lxbdaacs plugin use this file showkeys.so (a plugin to dump Key of your bluraydisc from makemkv)
but showkeys.so is not compatible with the last version of makemkv (only with =<1.5.5)

makemkv can read bluraydisc (in the streaming mode) but if your bluraydisc have multiple version of the film (like Hancock or Volt) makemkv is not perfect (lag , bug with vlc or other)

@setarip_old : make mkv is very good only to copy in mkv format a movie , but wait 40minute for only watch the movie :s
lxbdplayer is better , i don't know why you insiste to use only makemkv do you work for her?

pynux look up the "stream" option in MakeMKV, you do not need to rip the disk to HDD to watch a movie.

I like MakeMKV because its easier to use AND runs on linux, mac and windows. Something its competitors ignore.

@pynux

Apparently you are unaware that, in addition to "movie only" .MKVs, MakeMKV can also make perfect FULL DISC Blu-ray copies.

My primary aim regarding the discs I purchase is to make backup copies for viewing (and store away the originals)..

Blu-ray disc loading time on Linux

Hi folks, I have an HTPC setup using Ubuntu 10.04 and XBMC and it's flawless BUT I just miss bluray playback. I've tried makemkv and it's very good and we even have a XBMC plugin to play a disc with just one click, from the XBMC GUI. However, this takes up to 1.5 ~ 2 min cause makemkvcon is being used in the background to decrypt the bluray disc, and start streaming it. At the other side, XBMC plugin (written in Python) will connect to that port and play it.

This solution works fine, but it's a crap you need to wait that long to start watching a movie.

So I'm really in the pursuit for a way to playback bluray discs on Linux with a reasonable loading time. Lets say not more than 20~30 secs....

How long did it take to load when it is working in this setup with lxBDPlayer + showkeys.so ? Is it something near 15~20 secs?

Btw, I'm a senior java developer (7+ years experience) and I could help debugging, developing it if it's the case. Time is always an issue, but I can try to manage it...

Thx

it works!

Hi guys!
I don't know if anyone is interested, but I figured out how to get the player workin' with makemkv 1.5.6.

Just install all the stuff as discribed, then start the LnxBDplayer.
It will try to play bot not suceed.
Colse again, go to /home/-user-/.MakeMKV/
open settings.conf
remove the line "app_Key = "null""
save and close...

volia! Watch BDs...

All the best!
